Parkinson’s Care, like all of our clients’ situations, requires a unique approach. Dependable Care understands the challenges this disease introduces into daily life, such as bathing, getting dressed, meal preparation, pet care, and keeping house. Where one client may require all of those services, another client might simply require housekeeping and meal preparation. What remains the same across the board is that all of our caregivers are compassionate and kind, and strive to maintain our clients’ safety, independence, and dignity.

Before caregiver visits begin, our nurse conducts an assessment of our new client’s home. Following this assessment, our nurse may make some suggestions to improve both the safety and ease of daily tasks, such as addition of bathing safety measures like shower bars and anti-slip bathtub surfaces. The owner of Dependable Care accompanies the nurse on these initial consultation visits to liaise with clients and their loved ones.
In order to custom-tailor a caregiving solution for each client who faces the challenges of Parkinson’s disease, Dependable Care offers the following service tiers:
- Companions: Providing friendly conversation and short walks, light housekeeping and meal preparation.
- Homemakers: Providing all Companion services, as well as medication reminders, shopping and errands, and housekeeping.
- Personal Care: Providing all Homemaker and Companion services, as well as assistance with toileting, bathing, dressing, and more.
- Live-in Care: Providing all Personal Care, Homemaker, and Companion services, 24-hours a day.
Above all, our caregivers’ goal is to help clients maintain a high standard of living in their own homes and to deliver peace of mind to loved ones.
