When you or someone you love suffers from arthritis, limited movement can create a feeling of loss of independence. Arthritis, if ignored, may also lead to further injury. That’s why Dependable Care works with arthritic patience to help them maintain independence and health.
For More Information About Our Special Services Call (203) 580-6260.
Our service begins with an initial consultation during which a nurse visits your home or the home of your loved one for an assessment that includes determination of safety in the home, as well as implementing the exercise program created by the client’s physical therapist or doctor.
Our caregiver will help the client to complete his or her exercise plan at regular intervals, as well as encourage your loved one to be active each day. Our caregiver will notify the family for any pain management concerns.
Caregivers can also remind clients when to take medications, thus facilitating pain management for our arthritis clients. Our caregivers can also provide light housekeeping services. For example, Dependable Care’s homemakers can prepare meals, do laundry, get the mail, and engage in light pet care, enabling our customers to maintain their independent living situations.
Dependable Care caregivers work with our nurse to prevent falls in and around the home. Arthritis can sometimes lead to falls, and falling can aggravate or create new injuries that can further impede a client’s health and independence.
